Oops...

This is better...

Or is it?

That was the back, this is the front...

...as is this...

...and this is the back...

Struggling for content? Me?

Up at 7...

Had intended to get this up to date but got distracted with other, now forgotten and, therefore, most probably, inconsequential stuff...

Breakfast...

...and Anne's cat is declared "finished"...

Answers on a postcard please as to what these numbers mean...

Car insurance renewed...

Working on the pictures submitted by family members for the 2023 family calendar...

Never ceases to amaze me the lack of attention to detail as regards random stuff in the background that people apply to their photography...

Speaking of which, my mum during my visit this afternoon while Anne was off watching Hearts claw a 3-2 win over Motherwell with a last minute penalty, having been reduced to 10 men (really ought to have been 9 to be honest) and then going 2-0 up...

...as regards random stuff in the background...

This was the final choice (I really ought to have cropped it as regards random stuff in the background!) re sending to pretend cousin Robert...

...in relation to pics he sent me...

The house in Kilmarnock where many childhood adventures took place..

...with, from left to right, Evelyn, now 65, Anne 67, Robert 58, Liz 63, Alison 61 next Sunday...

Missing from the pic is eldest sister Laura, who would have been 70 next month but who succumbed to cancer at just 41 back in September 1994...

And here, Robert's two kids, Hannah (21) and Adam (23), father of Cole, who visited my mum last Sunday...

Having seen the cat, mum wanted to see Anne's other recent work - so, I showed her the tiger...

...and the boat...

She was impressed...

Also today, my listening was a track each from my 2022 LPs of the Day...

Here they are so far...

January...

February...

March...

April...

May...

June...

July...

August...

September...

October...

I got as far as 10 weeks into the year, which involved almost 7 hours of top music...

...and, on telly, more "Karen Pirie" (I think - or that might have been last night) and the SAS thing in the desert...

Lunch was unpictured porridge and the tasty tea was an equally unpictured rerun of the midweek hot chicken but with healthy chips replacing the potatoes and carrots...

It's all good...

Weekend over...

Morning Saturday morning…

Up early…

Doing stuff which will mostly go completely unappreciated…

Which is most probably most people’s lot…

Not to worry...

Onwards…

Best day of the week?

Probably...

First thing, finishing off the podcast and uploading it into the void...

...under good skies...

Cloudland Blue Eclectic Selection 2022 Vol 44
7 new LPs of the day;
14 further new releases;
2 other records new to the library;
and the run through of CBQ releases available on Bandcamp at the start of 2022 reaches June 2021 https://bit.ly/3haLpDa

...all pre breakfast...

The entire day was spent working on MusicBee - updating artwork and trying to learn about how it works...

Things I cannot do with it:

Transfer anything to my phone...

Copy artist/LP details to do the playlists here - hence the screenshots over the last few days (update - I worked out how to do it)...

So, I still need to keep iTunes up to date with new acquisitions to transfer stuff to my phone and iPods and loads of other stuff...

In other words, as a price for glitchless and unproblematic listening, I have to do everything twice...

Fucksake...

A reward for a hard day's work was a Beef and Green Pepper in Black Bean Sauce from Wongs...

...and "Strictly" was soundtracked by good music...

Blueberries later on as football was also watched...

Other things we might have watched today included "Taskmaster", "Helen Pirie" and, new thing on Netflix, "Blockbuster"...

Lights out...

Once more into the dark...

The silver cat was ready for action...

It was new music Friday...

...it was frosty...

...and I was listening to the podcast from 2017, in which I interviewed nephew Olly re his then favourite tracks and, in which, we played them...

I let him know and he tried to recall his choices...

Here they are - those in bold, he remembered ...

Also this morning, two new releases for Bandcamp Friday...

Cloudland Blue Quartet’s “Variations on Lou Reed’s “Metal Machine Music” Vol IV".

This concluded the Quartet...

Side 3 (August) : https://bit.ly/3JzUjUI

Difficult Listening!

Kind of glad that whole project is over...

Also Creek's latest archival release, Creek VIII (1997-09-10), 34 minutes of electronic improvisation from me, Sparky, Stu and Brodski...

I worked out, at the rate of one a month, it could take until August 2025 before all our recordings are released...

All releases are free to stream/name your price to download...

At 8, out for a meet at the place I go to lose...

Home for a tasty breakfast of wholemeal toast with eggs, sliced bacon medallions and mushrooms...

...and work on this weekend's podcast, with reference, of course, to new music released today which was not released by me...

Out to my mum's for 11 to take her to her old friend Jeanette's brother, Alan's funeral at Mortonhall...

...and over to the Bamwell afterwards for chatting, reminiscing, coffee and sandwiches with old neighbours Ian and Diane and of course Jeannette and her daughters, Suzanne and Debbie...

Home...

Baked potatoes this evening...

I concocted cheese, onion and pineapple, after a fashion...

Both of us were "working" this evening...

Me, going through what are now relatively few missing items of artwork on MusicBee...

...and Anne putting the final touches to the cat...

...and me recording links for, and the first 90 minutes of, tomorrow's podcast...

We no doubt also watched some telly...

Up late...

Discovered that, despite working through the night, not a single piece of artwork had been updated on MusicBee...

Hugely annoying, frustrating and disappointing...

So, I bit the bullet, deleted the whole thing and reinstalled it, now totally empty...

Then, I commenced the long process of pulling through what now appeared to be over 19,000 albums from iTunes...

It was 7:30am...

Yesterday, I'd painstakingly added all the LPs that had been added to iTunes post the previous version of MusicBee...

All of these too were now gone but should now be involved in the new pull through...

We'd see...

And, in passing, I noted I have acquired over 1,800 new albums so far in 2022 but "only" 327 physically...

Fang popped by and impersonated...

...Anne's cat painting, which neared completion...

All of this was pre breakfast...

As the computer was occupied with the "pull through", I resorted to playing records...

This was the position at 1:30pm, a full six hours from outset, still spinning, still scanning...

Finally, at 4pm, after 8.5 hours, it was done - 19,525 LPs transferred into MusicBee - but not quite showing up yet...

Tea time - involving green beans...

I was allowed to prep the potatoes!

Some music enjoyed via a now full of loads of LPs MusicBee as I tried to learn a wee bit about it...

Also, via iTunes, 13 LPs from age 13, 14 from age 14 and music from 1979 all entertained...

Also today, Edward Spark sent me a remix he's completed for me to check over (for the record, this was JG Stockton's piece, "Xylophonics VII")...

As is my wont, I ended up doing a remix of his remix...

Sparky liked it...

This evening we probably watched some TV too...

Lights out...
