Breakfast, post writing this and other mucking about re Twitter and my music collection...

A visitor was also breakfasting...

...and putting some things aside for later...

Today's soundtrack was brought to me by the letters K and L...

Down to Tesco for my mum's shopping...

Despite the needed queuing, 30 minutes did it...

Back home, Anne painted indoors...

...and then painted outdoors...

Lunch was a tasty 24p tin of tomato soup - and some lovely Irish soda bread...

To my mum's...

Doing fine...

Her evening carers have ceased due to lack of numbers re people off ill...

Sister Sheila is attending...

Here, mum goes through the shopping bill, ensuring her 60 year old son got everything that was asked of him...

Did you get "insert requested item here"?

Yes...

On the way back Mickey and Minnie Mouse were spotted waving to passing cars...

Back home and into the attic for some playing and singing...

Today, playing along to the band (well me on bass, Johnny on drums and Stu on guitar) on 1 December, rehearsing 10 CBQ songs which, in the end, were abandoned in favour of the covers set we did on 17 January...

Enjoyable...

As I emerged, the house was full of a lovely aroma...

Anne was making a lasagne, of which, like the squirrel's nut meal this morning, some was set aside for later...

Yumtastic...

In the evening, more mucking about with music and some things watched on TV by the EP which did not pull me in...

To bed around 11:30...

Weekend over...

Highlight f the Day : Lasagne...

My mum and Dad's 65th Wedding Anniversary - when I called her later, she pointed out they only made it to 48 since my dad passed away in June 2003- I pointed out that that was the same age at which sister Pam left us...

Coincidences eh?

The views..

Inside...

By the time I'd finished, the sun was up...

Initial listening brought to me by the letter I...

Breakfast was scrambled eggs...

...on toast with a slither of cheese and some ketchup...

...accompanied by radio 4 and lashings of coffee...

Then, out for a walk, having not ventured forth yesterday...

Down to Corstorphine Village and its, factually named, Old Parish Church...

Then, along some paths and side streets...

Spotted a lovely wee cat but just missed it...

This...

...is where Anne and Lynn do their Zumba...

More nearby views...

Through St Margaret's Park...

...to Dovecot Road...

...along Castle Avenue to some shops where some baked items were secured along with some much needed chocolate goodie drops for humans...

Then back to St John's road and back up Crispycat Hill...

Managed to get this wee monkey...

Home for coffee and a cherry scone..

Yumtastic...

Anne decided to paint some of the garage...

..and I did something I like...

Setting up the gear in the attic...

Ready for action - although my bandmates noted my cable management needs work...

Lunch was toast and marmalade and a very tasty unpictured half a donut...

I've gone rogue!

Then, back into the attic while Anne continued painting - and ran through the same set we did back on the 9th of March - so long ago now - adding a second guitar and second vocal...

In the evening, a glass of wine...

...a visit from Fang...

...a chicken-based tasty tea...

...the second half of the donut...

..and "Dad's Army"...

...and Fang, once again, staying with us a little longer than usual...

Some more listening - although this will leak over into tomorrow...

The letter J...

An evening of TV with the first episode of "Batwoman" and the first three excellent episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" Season 9, which entered the house on Xmas Day last year...

That was it...

Highlight of the Day : Setting up the gear...
