The gallery, the quays and Yum Cha...

Playlist

Woke early and gave the Bad Plus more of my time...

The view from the office this morning...

A Continental Breakfast on the top floor and then out and to the Gallery...

The pictures will speak...

First part done...

I was feeling slightly the worse for wear re last night's extremely fiery starter dish...

I soldiered on - to the shop - where I noted a few interesting things but bought nothing...

Upstairs...

To more galleries...

A history of drinking...

In "the old days" everyone was drunk all the time as they all drank alcohol given that the water was so unhealthy...

Anyway...

Then, a quiet gallery, with comfortable armchairs to sit in...

Then, furniture...

...and sculpture...

...and out - very enjoyable - it's probably over 10 years since we were here...

Over the road...

...for coffee and cake...

...before jumping on a bus in the direction of Salford Quays...

We popped into the Imperial War Museum North...

...and enjoyed an exhibition on spying...

...apt re our current immersion in the 8 seasons of "Homeland"...

Then, a walk to Media City...

...followed by a bus back (post a quick look around the mall - chocolate being purchased for the trip home tomorrow)...

The view from the office in the late afternoon...

Out for tea...

I'd done some research and we were heading for Yum Cha, a much praised Chinese Restaurant...

But first, having located our target, a couple of drinks at the Piccadilly Tap...

...initially mirroring Craig and Becky's drinks from Wednesday night...

Then, to Yum Cha...

Absolutely superb...

...and the young girl who waited on us was also great...

Mind you, having said I reminded her of a Disney Character, I was surprised to find said character was "Olaf" from "Frozen"...

I'll take it...

A walk home...

Some listening and some football perused, as Portugal, Switzerland, Argentina and Egypt all progressed...

Highlight of the Day : Yum Cha's tasty fayre...
