Up and out for more provisions...
The views from the crossroads in front of our apartment...
This morning to the place opposite the Grieghallen..
...and home for breakfast...
Then, out and a walk to the railway station....
...checking matters for tomorrow's journey to Oslo...
Then, a further short walk to the Bus Station...
...for today's trip...
We were off on the 925 in the direction of Voss...
All on time...
And off we went...
There now follows quite probably too many pics of our journey across this part of Norway...
We were soon approahing our first stop, Steinsdalsfossen...
After a 90 minute journey, we stepped off the bus...
...to this...
...and the sound of roaring water...
Beautiful...
..and pretty big...
The path took us behind the waterfall...
You get the idea...
Post millions of pics having been taken, it was time for ice cream, of course...
...which was soon polished off...
The journey continued - back over the bridge...
Facilities were required...
...then, the offer of a free home made cake with two very reasonably priced coffees could not be declined...
An ant enjoyed some cake crumbs...
Then, the 35 minute walk to Norheimsund...
...along a flat route, thankfully...
My coveted house...
This guy was living his best life...
Onwards...
The small town overlooks the Ytre Samlafjorden, which becomes the famous Hardangerfjord...
We had brought a packed lunch...
We took a walk around but, while the views were top, it was fairly deserted...
The ubiquitous cinnamon bun was shared...
...before we walked back to the bus stop for the trip home...
...back past the waterfall...
Back in Bergen, we took a look around the mall at the railway station, including a visit to Clas Ohlson...
More provisions secured on the walk back to the apartment...
...for a makeshift tea...
This evening, the weather was lovely - a rarity for Bergen it seems...
So, out we went for a walk...
...enjoying some chocolate which was supposed to have been for the train trip tomorrow...
Off we went on a journey of discovery, to parts we'd not visited thus far...
We climbed a slope...
...and enjoyed previously unseen vistas of the city...
...including the funicular off in the distance...
Then, we walked back into town...
...and, of course, ended up at Apollon for one final visit...
...before heading home for some coffee and an enlightening Brian Eno interview...
A good last day in Bergen...
