Today's initial plan - a walk to the bus and a bus to the botanics...
Meanwhile - always good to take a note of bread you've enjoyed...
Off we went, post breakfast...
...through Torshov Park...
...to the bus and down to the botanics...
The weather was, thankfully, a little cooler this morning...
This might come in handy later...
Indeed it did - for lovely apple cake and lovely coffee...
The beast was balancing stuff on a tray...
Don't worry readers, I did indeed share my "big" cake with Anne and received part of her small cake in return...
...and out...
...and a walk to the cathedral...
...and, then, to the bus station for today's trip...
We were heading south the the little town of Drøbak...
...around an hour's bus drive away...

It was much more lively than our recent target from Bergen, Norheimsund...
We took a picturesque walk down to the harbour...
...then, back to the main square for a sausage based lunch...
...and a look around the many small shops - nothing enticed though...
...except, of course, ice cream...
As the skies clouded over...
...we jumped on the bus back to Oslo...
...past the little Drøbak church...
...and were soon back home, post another tram ride up to the apartment...
For tea tonight, we decided on the most popular dish in Norway (apparently) - a "Grandiosa Pizza"...
Tasty!
Then, we watched France beat our hosts 4-1 in the World Cup...
Our neighbours, out in the courtyard, watching on a big screen, were a few seconds behind us, judging by their cheers and groans...
And so, another good day drew to a close...
