Playlist

Up not too early (for me)...
Most of the morning spent on collating lists of my favourite LPs...
Firstly, someone posted the request - "Post an album you've listened to 100 times (or more)"...
I found it hard to choose...
I went through all the albums I bought between my first, in 1972, and those in 1996, 30 years ago. There were over 400 which I might have played more than 100 times...
So, while avoiding all the usual suspects, here are 30, some perhaps surprising, from those 400 or so...
As I say, bought between 1972 and 1996...
Also looked at my, so far, best of 2026 (again)...
...and identified 34 of them which are by artists I'd not heard of prior to sourcing their most recent (and, in many cases, debut) releases...
It was Thursday...
At lunchtime, a couple of veggie schnitzels done in the air fryer...
...and, this afternoon, these...
Bought on this day 21 years ago in HMV’s 5 Naxos CDs for £20 offer. Around £11.50 each these days…
Comments in my diary that day...
Saint-Georges: interesting story, it’d make a good film
Paisiello: among the most important opera composers of 18th century
Tallis: w/free CD of Early Music from Naxos
Beethoven/Wranitzky: Love the oboe, so couldn’t resist
Daugherty: not heard of but quite stunning
Plus, Malcolm's son Ruari's latest opus - a 21 minute post rock Floydesque psychedelic piece...
Nice...
Meanwhile, in my quest to play 1 CD from every box and section of my collection, I've now played one from each of these (apart from those up top with no CD cover on the box)...
Of course Fang popped by - why wouldn't he?
On TV, more "Murder Mindfully" and "Homeland"...
Late on, I set up the equipment for Saturday and ran through the first hour long set pre bed - no singing but whispering...
Lights out at midnight...
Highlight of the Day: Murder Mindfully...
