Top of the charts, Haydn, plus, the fickle fans of football...

Today's listening was sourced from these...

Up in the dark as usual...

Decided to catch up on the #A-Haydn-A-Day Haydn Symphonies project - I was 56 behind and so have limited my listening to just the first movement of each going forward...

Today I got that down to just over 20...

Meanwhile, towels...

...sky...

...and calendar...

Anne was off to Zumba - I continued another project - ensuring CD-Rs (and/or CDs without covers) were on the hard drives - got to around a third of the way through the various artists comps - when I reach the end of that it will be done...

While doing that, and listening to Haydn, it was time, once again, to write up my “Red Books of CDs I’ve Acquired”...

Another 46 titles since 28 January…

Done...

1,000 CDs have been added to the book since May 2022...

Oh dear...

On Bandcamp, I checked the "Discover Charts" here: https://bandcamp.com/discover/songs

It seems I'm still on the best-selling charts!

1 album in the Top 10, 3 albums in the Top 20, 11 albums in the Top 120 (over 9% of the Top 120 is me!)...

In all, 67 of the Top 1,000 LPs are by CBQ (amazing!)...

And, there are another 38 albums hovering just outside the Top 1,000...

Which means that only 3 of my 108 available recordings on Bandcamp are NOT on the chart...

Yet, somehow, the cash is not flowing in LOL...

Anyway...

Leafing through the last edition of The Wire I bought (I only buy those with a Wire tapper CD attached), I saw this headline and thought "only in The Wire"...

But, then, I found the LP in question and gave it a listen...

And it was good...

It inspired me to try a new ambient project of my own but that came to nothing...

To be fair I've already got far too much piled up awaiting release...

Moped around in the afternoon while Anne visited her mum...

Listened to a couple of things in the back room via the wee BlueTooth receiver...

On Anne's return, a comparatively early tea of fish cakes and beans tee'd us up nicely...

...post some punk rock...

...for tonight's visit to Tynecastle...

Met up with Bob and chum Diane for the walk to the ground...

Team sheets noted in the press area...

I was on the opposite side of the stadium from Anne for a change...

First half was evenly matched but the fans around me were less than pleased with Hearts' performance - like all football fans, they thought their team ought to be playing better than the other team - even though the other team is above them in the league and recent results have featured rather a lot of "scraping through"...

Anyway, the mighty St Mirren went ahead after around 35 minutes...

Boos at half time...

Second half and a horrendous defensive error allowed Hearts back into the game...

1-1...

For their celebration, the players really ought to have done a lap of the pitch just sticking the Vs up to the fans re their lack of support up until this point...

Fickle as...

Anyway, another two goals sealed the game...

Between the second and third, a blatant shoulder to the face when jumping for the ball tackle which flattened McCart, saw Phillips shown a straight Red Card - my feeling was, it didn't merit it, although it was a shocker, as strict adherence to the rules would say no use of arm or elbow, so, a booking...

Post a VAR check I was proven correct...

On watching it later, back at home though, I'd say the intent was there and this was dangerous play meriting the red...

Anyway, both Hearts 2nd and 3rd goals were excellently worked but the final score line kind of flattered the JTs...

But three points are three points and it's onwards to the derby against Hibs on Sunday...

The long walk back to the car and home to watch all the highlights (as Hearts were close to the end), with bed beckoning at midnight...

Football turned out a lot better than expected...

Highlight of the Day : Hearts v St Mirren...

Good footy pics there, not been to Tynecastle in a while ... for obvious reasons.
