Up just before 8 and started the day with music by acts we will see on the newly planned trip...
...and by hitting the button on our accommodation...
Like the flight, probably slightly more expensive than we'd normally pay - even with a 30% discount..
Hope it lives up to the reviews...
Anyway, scenes...
Some work done prepping two releases this week - the 4th and final session from 2011 from me, Jamie, Keith and Gus - the end of phase 2 of the band - just an EP this time...
I had the recording lead plugged into the wrong socket and we only had 30 minutes left by the time I discovered my error...
Also out this week, the next instalment in the Creek back catalogue issue...
Then, having listened to the other day (rather loudly) and very much enjoyed our rocking out on 19 January, I decided, why not just release it...
Some further tweaking, editing, patching and mastering took most of the day...
But, now, ready to go - so I just released the EP above today and this will be out on Friday...
"On "TwentyFiveFortyFive" the 2025 line up of Capital Models plays 10 songs from the band's 45 year old original canon, along with five covers, from David Bowie, Bryan Ferry, The Rolling Stones, Roxy Music and The Velvet Underground..."
This evening, Anne was off to Pilates - I watched some Bad Plus (who we will see in Europe in the summer) on the old TV in its current position of "the back room"...
Baked potatoes on Anne's return, mine with the winning combination of mushy peas and spring onions...
"University Challenge" 95 points...
Late on finalised the running order for this week's podcast - out tomorrow at some point...
That was about it...
Highlight of the Day : New Capital Models...
