Arose just after 6:30...

...and straight into the 1971 CDs on the rack, with some John Coltrane...

...some Upsetters...

...and some Miles Davis....

...while interacting on Twitter re Wizzard...

Breakfast was the remainder of yesterday's avocado, on sourdough toast...

...accompanied by The Moody Blues...

To Anne's mum's around 11:30, to make sure she was ready to go for lunch with Uncle Bob...

When we got there, she'd already been downstairs twice re getting the time wrong (and, it turned out, had phoned Bob four times)...

Bob arrived right on time at midday and, saying our farewells, we popped to the nearby Murrayfield Bar for lunch, only to find their kitchen was closed...

So, to the Greasy Spoon for a toastie for Anne and scampi and chips for me...

Then, to the infirmary - all car parks full so had to leave the car up the road and walk back...

Mum's hearing aids are goosed, while her "best" pair are still being repaired...

Mum's brain also goosed by, we found out later, a chest infection and a UTI, not to mention a new hernia...

The confusion led to some comedic outbursts as regards nephew Ali's company running the hospital and the building itself swinging about (it was the wind blowing a tree outside the window - mum thought the building not the tree was moving)...

I got her to put her hair on, so that she didn't resemble Gollum from "Lord of the Rings"...

All of this due to Bonnyrigg Hospital discharging her too early and without the proper equipment and with a wrongly assessed care package...

Home around five and finished off the 1971 CDs with two from Paul McCartney...

..and a classic (for me anyway) from Uriah Heep...

Baked Potatoes for tea...

Then, we binged the final 10 of 14 episodes of "One Day" - SPOILERS - super sad ending which, it has to be said, left me heading to bed, rather depressed, with The Tangs, The Floyd and Bowie in my ears...

Highlight of the Day : One Day...
