Up with the larks, kind of...

It was actually around 7:30...

Scenes...

Anne was up just after me in preparation for the window cleaner's visit...

Another Xmas film pre 9am - "Best. Christmas. Ever!" - again, good and entertaining...

And we noted that there is a "The Christmas Chronicles 2" available...

Skies outside continued to be ok...

Filling a few gaps in the collection left by 5 early CDs I used to have but sold/put into the shop - now back in the collection, albeit digitally...

At 12:30, we set off for Bonnyrigg, picking some stuff up from mum's house on the way, along with excellent cakes (strawberry tarts for mum and Anne, banoffee tart for me)...

Plenty of new Xmas cards for mum - she gets more than us despite being 93 and having had most of her friends already die on her...

The strawberry tart was much enjoyed...

Off to Penicuik for 3, a quick visit to sister Sheila to drop of presents for her grandchildren, then over to Creeker Stu's new gaffe, which he has done up to superb effect over the three months or so since he left Capital Models to concentrate on it... 

Cake, biscuits coffee and chat were enjoyed...

...along with Hearts amazingly beating Celtic at Parkhead 2-0, while Queens ran out 3-1 winners in Dumfries against Edinburgh City...

Home to a letter illustrating the stupidity of the local council - who are trying to say the road behind our house is actually a footpath...

...and that the latch on the back gate had finally given up the ghost - one more thing on the never-ending to do list...

The final of Strictly - Layton quite obviously the best dancer but the public went for the "journey" that Ellie has undergone from zero experience to trying (and botching) one of the most difficult lifts of all strictly time...

Well done to her!

Later this evening, the first episode of the new "Reacher"...
