...which comprised these beauties...

Today, we were off to that Glasgow for the Hearts v Hibs cup semi final - I was driving Anne and Bob through to meet up with Olly for them to attend the match while I enjoyed some music shopping...

But, a message from chum Spike at 7:25am offered me a free ticket for the game...

I could not refuse...

And so, music shopping was postponed for another day...

An uneventful drive through, leaving Bob's at 8...

At 9, Olly was on his way to the car from his flat...

We drove over to the environs of Hampden and found a suitable spot to park...

Here, I was the only one anticipating the result...

A walk towards the ground

...and a tasty breakfast...

...and then a walk to the ground and hanging about...

At 11:30 my colleagues went into the ground, while I waited outside for Spike...

A full house at the Hearts end when we got to our seats a few minutes before kick off...

...Hearts' youth team having arranged this...

On came the teams...

Within 20 minutes, the JTs were one up...

...and in 21 minutes, two up...

Within a minute, Hibs got one back...

Over the piece, Hibs were the better (if dirtier too) team but, in the end, Hearts held out for the win...

...and celebrations ensued...

A walk back to the car and then back to Olly's flat for refreshments...

He will be 21 on the 22nd - I gave him an early present - with which he was very pleased...

Another present was this painting of him with his flatmates - one for posterity...

As we left, Bob, who had not been to the flat before, expressed some concern as to Olly possibly falling over the banister on a drunken night out...

It would be a long fall...

Off we went...

...and drove home - no CDs were purchased...

Fang visited this evening...

...and Anne enjoyed the highlights of Hearts' glorious triumph (yet again) over their arch rivals...

Highlight of the Day : Football...
