Plucky defeats are becoming a bit annoying...

Up early, even after last night's late finish - and not knowing I was infected...

...to editing the recording of Keith's band...

I compared and contrasted to our own recordings...

Then, I edited the recordings of yesterday morning's session with Stu...

Posted both sets of recordings to the respective participants...

Out to my mum's earlier than usual, with Anne and with her shopping having been done at Straiton...

In reasonable form and she liked the pics I took of the flowers in her back garden - which she is unlikely ever to see "in the flesh"...

Back home for a quick turnaround and then a drive to Airdrie, picking up Olly from the railway station, to where he'd travelled from Glasgow...

Another cup final for Queens...

Pies were enjoyed pre match...

The entertainment was "strange"...

Queens and Raith were playing to have this in their trophy room for a year...

At 4:15 the game commenced...

Queens were on top in the early stages with a couple of chances but no goals...

Then Raith scored against the run of play in 16 minutes...

Queens then hit the post and the bar...

In the final seconds of the 3 minutes of first half additional time, a free kick was floated in from Wullie Gibson - in quick succession the ball hit the bar, the post and was stopped by keeper (and ex Queens man) Jamie MacDonald, before finally being prodded home by Ally Roy...

We went crazy - it was no more than Queens deserved...

It was the last kick of the first half...

Queens went off with their tails up...

More chances in the second half and another couple of good stops from MacDonald...

Then, disaster as Raith scored again in 70...

And, as Queens chased a second equaliser, Raith struck again with 12 minutes to go...

All over...

Plucky defeat seems to be the story of this season for Queens, which may well see them relegated to the third tier...

At least we'll see them winning more games...

We took Olly back to the station then home, stopping off for fish and chips on the way...

Tried to watch "The Ipcress File" but I fell asleep...

In bed by 11 I think, with a long drive ahead of us tomorrow...

Highlight of the Day : Queens' goal...
