Up reasonably early and some last minute work before we set off down south - adding some recent acquisitions to the phone and updating the playlist, which will be shuffling as we drive for 4.5 hours...

A brief visit from Fang as we breakfasted at home...

Then, lured him out the window with more goodies and loaded up the car...

One stop on the journey - for a lunch of sandwiches and crisps at the Moto Services around midday...

We arrived in Chester at 1:30 - drive time was just 4 hours, 30 minutes less than predicted...

We found the house but couldn't gain entry till 4 so we parked the car and made our way onto Hoole's Faulkner Rd...

...where coffees and shortbread were enjoyed...

Then, we walked over the bridge into Chester itself and familiarised ourselves with the new surroundings...

On the way back, I didn't go into this music emporium...

...but I did go into this one

...and emerged with two purchases...

I sold the Alice Cooper double LP when I finally secured originals of the 2LPS included in the package - something I've regretted for a long time and today, for £10, the situation was rectified...

Back to the house and in we went...

Unpacked...

...and at home...

Gave the Cooper set a listen via the version on my phone, while ripping the Tippett box...

Out for drinks at The Lodge...

...and then, on to The Faulkner, where a tasty tea was partaken of...

A new Whatsapp group, The Glasgow Jazz Monkeys...

...was set up and I invited Count Brodski, brother in law Keith, Dr Prog and nephew Olly, to the Graham Costello gig in Glasgow on 26 April...

Keith immediately accepted, Brodski was a "maybe" - no response yet from the others...

Home around 8 and watched "Mastermind" and, then, the final of "University Challenge", with Imperial College just pipping Reading at the post, while the Crispycat team scored a measly 50 points...

All over for another year...

Then, as Anne watched the first in the new series of "The Split", I watched Alice Cooper in Peterborough, Canada on 27 March on Youtube, the entire concert having been filmed on someone's phone but pretty good quality for that...

1hr 40 mins of fun...

Thereafter, to bed - with a rather annoying cough and a sore throat commencing...

Uh oh...

Highlight of the Day : Being on holiday...
