Various - Capital Models' Glam Set: The Originals

Up and trying to do the diary updates...

Failed...

However, Saturday at 8am and the new Eclectic Selection Podcast (2022 Vol 13) was  "Out Now!" with its 7 latest LPs of the day, rock/prog, pop/covers/singer/songwriter, reggae/dub, soul/funk, ambient/electronic/leftfield/experimental, jazz/classical & CBQ....

Music for open musical minds...

And Golden Earring's classic, "Moontan", the UK version - followed by the 2 different tracks on the European version - was plyed and enjoyed - influenced by Twitterchum @SveinFrodeG, who had been influenced by  - Echo Chambertastic!

Breakfast...

At 9:30 Stu arrived and we spent over three hours working on our guitar parts for the Capital Models sets - along with six new songs...

David Bowie's "Boys Keep Swinging", "Five Years", "Sorrow" and "Drive in Saturday" plus The Velvets' "Sunday Morning" and Roxy Music's "All I Want is You"...

No pics were taken due to the work rate...

Then, to Anne's mum's to pick her up and take her down to Keith and Maureen's to meet new baby Lily...

...seem here with Auntie Abbie...

So great to see Kitty after her Costa Rica trip - she went through all her pics with me and Anne...

Craig was there too, briefly, before heading to Easter Rd to work...

Brother in Law Bob wanted to keep Lily for himself...

Group shot...

There was excellent cake...

...which followed a top notch but unpictured buffet lunch of Keith's home made chili...

Granny Mary got in on the holding the new baby act...

At 6:45 we took Jane and Bob and Mary home...

Then I headed out to West Linton for a gig by Lazy Horse, in which bassist Keith plays drums...

The stage was set...

And off they went...

I was joined again by Stu...

Ginger beer was enjoyed...

Keith looked dapper...

The ladies (including the three bar ladies) were "up"...

The three sets lasted close to three hours...

I now this as I recorded the entire evening for the band...

As a consequence, home at 12:45...

Knackered...

A good day though...

Post Script : Turns out me, Stu and Keith all contracted Covid at this event...

Highlight of the day : Working with Stu....
