And so it begins...

Morning Tuesday morning. When away, I often listen to old me telling current me about then new music - about which I’ve very often since forgotten…

Which is nice…

Morning scenes...

Out for some bread...

...to enable a tasty breakfast to be prepared...

Thereafter, out and about - and staying outside as my throat and cough scenarios are indicating the worst...

To the Amphitheatre...

...and discovering that that means "double theatre"...

Not much of what is on display here is original but it is reasonably impressive nonetheless...

Of course, half of it has been built upon - but they've painted it in....

It held up to 7,000 people...

This is an original piece...

And off we went...

...into the nearby Parish Church of St John the Baptist...

...before heading down to the river...

...and walking along its banks...

...to the Old Dee Bridge...

...and on, via a section of the City Walls, to the Castle...

...which also houses part of the University...

...before walking back to the centre...

...and sitting outside Bridge St Coffee...

...where these were enjoyed...

...along with this...

Up to the East Gate...

...near to which, we partook of some tasty sandwiches and made our way to Grosvenor Park for lunch...

...with the wildlife...

...and statues/scuptures

...and a look around...

The guide in our house mentioned the friendly squirrels - this one was...

This friend of the distressed had something to do with the park...

Who's this?

It's the EP...

This was a good cat notice...

Anne would not allow me to go on the train...

...and so, we exited...

Next - towards the town hall...

...and the cathedral...

...with its stand alone bell tower...

In...

...but well distanced...

...and out...

We decided to go back down to the river and took the opportunity to stroll through the Roman Garden...

...which is home to various Roman artifacts from around the city...

At the river, ice cream was enjoyed...

...as were boats...

...and ducks...

On the way home to the house, I popped in, quickly and masked, into the charity shops and found nothing - same result at the Grey & Pink record shop, which I had not entered yesterday...

Back home and the almost inevitable was confirmed...

Not feeling at all well now...

We walked round to Faulkner St and I waited outside as Anne secured two portions of the fish and the chips...

The rest of the evening was spent coughing and spluttering and watching TV...

Not looking good...

Not feeling good...

Not about to be sleeping well...

Aaargh!

Highlight of the Day : Visiting the sights...
