Today, our plan had been - get a train to that Liverpool and explore for the day, with dnner in the evening and then home...

Scuppered by Covid of course...

And so, post breakfast, instead, a drive through the rain to Wales...

First stop Prestatyn...

...the railway station a highlight...

...as was this seagull...

...and Marks & Spencer for more lovely sandwiches and crisps...

...which we carried back to the car...

...and enjoyed up a hill with top notch views but massive amounts of wind and rain...

...we could see the source of our sustenance...

We drove on, to Rhyl and its harbour...

The weather made it particularly desolate...

Was it better than Liverpool?

Possibly...

But it was shockingly cold...

Not good for my condition...

...and now...

...Anne too was developing a cough...

Back to the car...

...and imagining this place in the summer...

Home for beers...

...and wine...

...sheltering from the rain...

..and listening to music from 1988...

As the weather cleared, we ventured out again...

...and round to Faulkner Street...

Anne made an order at Made in Italy...

...while I captured our dinner providers from Monday...

...and last night...

Eventually...

...the pizzas were provided at the front door...

Home to enjoy...

..and an evening spent mostly catching up with "Killing Eve"

...before another sleepless night...

Highlight of the Day : Probably the pizza...
