Up just after 7 on a lovely Saturday morning...

No honing, whittling or podcasting to be done...

So, I enjoyed one of yesterday's new CDs as I continued ripping...

The skies...

...were...

...good...

...as were the headphones...

Some chat on the net re this - a Twitterchum had just bought the 5LP set I used to have, for under £6 - bargain...

At breakfast time, a new wee monkey spotted in the garden - one of two recent new cats in the neighbourhood...

We could not let a lovely morning pass us by, so I researched a suitable destination...

..and, half an hour later, we were there...

...and it, too, was good...

We were here...

A walk through the woods ensued...

...and small horses were found...

...and, later, a schoolboy rugby match...

Home and into the attic to find this - after not finding it last night and so ordering a new one to be delivered later today...

Then, post lunch, taking Anne to her mum's and both of them closer to Tynecastle for today's 2-0 victory over Livingston...

Meanwhile, in Kilmarnock, Queens were 1-0 down to the league leaders at half time, equalised with around 20 minutes to go but lost a second in the final 7 minutes...

Not confident they will stay up...

I drove to Morningside...

I wandered for an hour buying these...

This is brilliant - £2, BHF...

Scottish Jazz...

This in Age Concern for £1...

Belgian chansons...

These at St Columba's, 50p each...

Czech Wind Quintets...

...funky Funk...

The scene had not changed as I returned to the car...

Stopped off at the Cancer Research shop on the way home and got these five for just £1...

I used to have this - bought it in March 1991 - 31 years later, it's back...

Two by Tommy Smith - more Scottish Jazz, via New York...

...and Hamilton...

Yet another Ike best of - 1969-1995...

...and, to make up the required 5, this, featuring covers of the likes of David Bowie, Radiohead, Nick Cave, Gillian Welch, Arcade Fire, Nine Inch Nails (vi Johnny Cash), Snow Patrol and Tom Waits...

And so, home to listen to items...

...from today's pile...

I can now mark Frazier Chorus as having been reacquired...

The new lead arrived - so galling that I need to pay £8 just to plug my headphones into my phone!

I hate Apple!!

A very big and tasty Chinese takeaway for tea, from Cool Jade, was far better value (probably) - I stupidly made it look a bit messy before recording...

On telly, Hearts' highlights then "Killing Eve" - frankly impossible to understand just what in heaven's name is going on - then "Picard", much better...

And the very enjoyable, just released film "The Adam Project" - gotta love a bit of time travel!

Then, more new CD listening...

...and bed...

A packed Saturday...

Highlight of the Day : Malleny Garden...
