Saturday and, again, up in the dark...
At 6am...
To podcasting and making rather a few more botches than is the norm...
Eventually though, all done, edited and out into the world by 8:40...
My top 5 1968 LPs also revealed...
A call from my mum asking that I do her shopping today rather than tomorrow as some medicinal supplies are required...
Accordingly, to Sainsbury near her home then on to said home...
Bill settled...
...coffee and chat and then, eschewing the delights of Morningside on the way home, I ventured further afield to Dalkeith...
Nothing was found...
Back to the car...
Home for a quick turnaround then down the hill to the bus, noting neighbourhood cat Sid...
...and another whose name we do not know, halfway down the hill...
Our target was Drumsheugh gardens...
...and The Bonham...
...for a lunch of the long and leisurely nature with chums Debbie and Sid, seen here at the pudding stage...
For the record, the food was superb...
Pork terrine...
Spiced Carrot soup...
Slow cooked egg...
Cod...
Mushroom...
Lamb...
Sweet potato chips...
Sticky toffee pudding...
Lemon tart...
...all in lovely surroundings...
Then, to nearby Teuchter's, for more drinks and good chat...
...this being the imbibment of choice for your correspondent...
A bus home - the seat in front occupied by a friendly wee dog...
Listening back to the podcast on the headphones, while Anne watched "Strictly"...
Eventually, having been up at six and having enjoyed a slap up feed and possibly just enough to drink, I dozed off...
Awoken by a call for coffee from Anne...
A new thing "Mysteries of Madame Blanc" also enjoyed and the highlights of Hearts drawing at Rangers with a last minute goal...
Just before bed, a message from Stu to advise he's just watched "The Graduate" for the first time...
We both agreed great film, great soundtrack..
Lights out with a Hawkwind classic in the cans...
Highlight of the Day : Out for lunch...
