Friday. Friday. Friday. Message ends….
Apart from. Have a lovely day…
Always good to wake up to a Tweet of someone listening to and enjoying your music...
Which happened today, a week on from sadi record's release...
Breakfast...
Started the listening with the digital versions of a couple of the records, bought last Sunday...
It's what the internet's for...
Meanwhile, my 100 suggestions/nominations for the top 5 re 1968 were whittled to 60...
Many on my Twitter feed still have many of these in their own collections...
Next cull, Sunday...
Created the long list for tomorrow's podcast which was, erm, long...
Around half or fewer will make the cut, with the rest going to the now over 400 track, 36 hour long, waiting list...
Later on, created four remixes of Edward Spark's new single and posted them over to him...
Was hoping to put one in the podcast but he wants nothing to be released until the actual release...
Which was annoying but understandable.
So, I then created a CBQ only piece using the elements of the remix without any Spark input...
And put that into the podcast instead...
And so, the final choices pointed to another packed show with 50 tracks, including a Velvet Underground exclusive, the brand new CBQ piece recorded today and, yes, the original version of Sparky's new single making the the cut (I hold no grudge re my creativity being suppressed for now)...
It's all good. Out tomorrow morning...
Post tea and some telly, to recording the thing...
Another late start but, hopefully, I wasn't going to be up till 2:30 am like last week...
There will still be some work to be done tomorrow morning though...
The lengths I go to to entertain, influence and inform...
Kind of...
While podcasting, I posted up 13 CDs from the Yorkshire trip...
Whenever people post up what they like and I find myself thinking "What fresh hell is this?", I look at what I like and buy and remember Lucretius' wise words from `De Rerum Natura'...
"What is food to one person may be bitter poison to others"...
Speaking of food, here's what we had for tea tonight from Anne's fair hands (it's actually chicken thighs not Anne's cooked fair hands)...
