It's Thursday, or Thor's Day, as I like to call it...

Thor rode across the sky in a chariot pulled by goats...

Today, my chariot remains in the garage and the goats in their pen...

I am up though...

And working on freeing up some space on the C drive, as it was becoming dangerously close to being full...

All podcasts and screenshots moved to other drives...

As will be, henceforth, all CDs ripped via iTunes...

By chance I played a podcast from 2016 1st thing and the opening track was the prelude from Wagner's "Rheingold" (from "The Ring Cycle")...

I'd commented that it was possibly the first piece of "ambient" music played to an audience...

It got me thinking and I fired up the machines and started work on a new piece...

Some groundwork completed but much to do...

However, WFH must take priority since it is that which, at present, in the main, funds such musical "work"...

Amongst the soundtracking today, Haydn and Herman...

As ever, lunch with "Community"...

More WFH in the pm...

This evening though, the Udo Lindenberg film - without subtitles - which made some of it particularly difficult to understand...

The film takes us from his early childhood through to his first full performance in Hamburg in 1972, which came post a flop LP, sung in English, and a hit single, sung in German...

There were quite a few things covered of which I was not aware...

Such as his time in the early sixties drumming with a rock'n'roll covers band to American servicemen in Libya...

All in all, it turned out to be much better than I'd anticipated (and of course leaves room for parts two and onwards - the story of the rest of his life, as the biggest rock star in Germany)...

The film was accompanied by Anne's now famous and very popular, chicken tray bake...

Late on, back to the machines for more "work" as opposed to WFH...

...including further remixes of Edward Spark's "The Curse"...

That was it...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Creating...
