At 6:05 on a Tuesday morning, I was ready for action...

...and action there was to be...

But not before some measure of inaction...

"Get that cup off the arm of the settee"...

Post breakfast out and a walk down the hill...

...and along...

...to the zoo...

...for a few hours in the company of the well looked after animals...

I will try and recall what they all were...

Meerkats...

Flamingoes...

A white-faced Saki...

Buff Cheeked Gibbons...

Pigmy hippopotami...

Sun bears...

Koala bears...

Wallabies...

(and unpictured kangaroos)....

A giant Panda...

A Sumatran Tiger...

Giraffes...

A beast of unknown origin...

Lions...

A Scottish Wild Cat...

Gelada Babboons...

Visayan Warty Pigs...

Egyptian Vulture...

Snowy Owl...

Bantengs...

Red Fronted Macaw..

...and out after three hours of animal based fun...

A short bus ride to the town and holiday drinks and sustenance enjoyed at the Torfin...

...followed by another bus back up the hill, noting this not quite so big cat on the walk down to home...

Some wine enjoyed in the sun in the back garden...

...and more wildlife spotted...

Later, tea, "Holby" and more work before bed...

A good day...
