Up super early with another good day ahead of us, thanks to the planning and Executive Production of the Exec Producer...

...who remained in bed while I worked to get stuff done before the day started...

Down for coffee...

...and, work done and dusted, breakfast with the EP and out on a road trip, soundtracked by the "Road Trip" playlist compiled for Yorkshire back in the summer...

In my head, we were heading South - in reality we drove for around 75 minutes almost due East...

...arriving at St Abb's Head, under good skies and with some measure of heat in the air...

A walk ensued...

Beautiful views were afforded us...

...as we walked along the high path, noting canoeists and paddle boarders in the sea below...

I was not allowed to make my way out onto this promontory...

The view back to the village was top notch...

A young man was painting the scene...

A long way down...

Onwards...

A small insect undertook some photo-bombing...

And so we made our way back...

...and towards the village...

A visit to the Visitor Centre...

...before lunch at the old school building - a "Fish Pot" for your correspondent and toastie for Anne...

Good views...

A walk then back to the car...

...and a short drive to Eyemouth...

The town itself was a little run down but the harbour and beach were pleasing on the eye...

Unpictured ice creams were enjoyed...

Anne pointed out a shape in the water...

The seals were here...

On we walked...

...viewing the beach from the harbour wall...

My plans for a swim were thwarted...

We walked along the shore and back through the town to the car....

Another short drive to Dunbar...

...and a walk along the main street...

...to the far end...

...and down to its harbour...

These gulls were letting it be known that they were gulls and they could make a big noise....

To the reasonably recently restored battlements at the far end...

...and looking back at where we'd been...

Upon departing the harbour area, we watched a small bird unsuccessfully chase rather a lot of fish around....

Back along the main street to the car and a long drive in rush hour traffic, home...

The holiday is turning out to be good so far...

Highlight of the Day : Road trip to the coast...
