The nixing of a track by a collaborator can lead to work which produces a better outcome...

Views...

Some slight lyric re-writes re "Crack a Smile" and "The Surrender of Barcelona" (my collaboration with drummer Johnny Weitzen from Capital Models from the end of last year) and remixing etc etc...

Squirrel breakfast...

Later, Fang - he spent a considerable amount of time with us today spread over three separate visits...

Fang I...

Meanwhile - a new running order...

Fang II...

This evening, I sent MP3s of the proposed LP to the collaborators - niece Kitty, re her co-write in 2012 (aged 8) of "Break the Ice Around Us", the aforementioned Johnny and Stu and to Edward Spark re using the beatless version of my remix of his instrumental track "Emperor", for which I wrote and recorded lyrics last month...

No response from Stu or JW but Kitty Whatsapp'd me back showing her listening to her track...

That was nice!

Unfortunately Ed nixed his collaboration, opining it has too much of his own track in it - which he will release later this year and doesn't want to pre-empt that...

So, to work and, after a couple of hours, a brand new version created - his synths being replaced by my own manipulated Frippertronics...

A thumbs up hoped for tomorrow...

He was watching the darts...

Erm...

Meanwhile...

Fang III...

Eventually, he left but not before having gouged a big chunk of flesh out of Anne's hand...

In this pic, she is in the kitchen dressing the wound...

He is Fang!

Highlight of the Day : Musicking...
