At the time of writing, I am 25 days behind with this - I think this is the worst lapse in "keeping things up to date" I've had since starting this diary back in March 2005...

I will attempt to recall what happened, with the aid of playlists, photos and Twitter activity...

So, were we go...

Well, it was a Saturday and it was early...

Scenes from the back room...

Finishing off this week's podcast and uploading it to the t'internet...

...and publishing my Top 5 Albums of 1973, which had previously been whittled down from an initial 100 to 75, 50, 30 and then 10 - but you know that if you read this, as all the progressively smaller selections were set out in an earlier entry...

Now, all that remained were my Top 5...

1 Alice Cooper: Billion Dollar Babies
2 Fripp & Eno: No Pussyfooting
3 Yes: Tales From Topographic Oceans
4 Emerson Lake & Palmer: Brain Salad Surgery
5 David Bowie: Aladdin Sane

What a brilliant year for music 1973 was (IMHO)...

Then, out with Anne to Lidl, where tasty baked goods were purchased, before driving to Silvermills for an outdoor breakfast...

...with good views...

We had brought coffee n one of those new fangled keep things cold or warm bottle things (Dave, it's a flask)...

Always good to see the Exec Producer looking happy in these difficult times...

A walk along the promenade to Cramond...

The beasts were about their business...

...observing old logs...

...and weird fish monuments...

An occasional plane passed overhead, a rarity right now...

We reached Cramond and looked out to the island...

...and over the estuary to the small house which, I imagine, is the envy of many who come here...

And then we walked back and drove home...

A good start to the day...

Anne's hare painting is coming on nicely...

Lunch was a tasty egg and ham roll with spring onions...

Then, big news, Capital Models reconvene a week tomorrow in drummer Johnny's back garden so, time for a quick run through the set with my musicking chums on the nutphones...

...said rehearsal taking place in the attic...

...and being deemed successful...

Of course, there will need to be a breakdown of equipment to allow for transportation to and set up in Roslin in 8 days' time..

Then, in the back room, a random CD chosen...

Firstly, which unit...

Then, which shelf...

Then, which section...

Then, which box...

And, finally...

Which CD...

And so I found myself listening to Classic CD volume 103 (Oct 1998)...

I have probably not listened to this CD for almost 25 years...

It was rather good...

To the kitched to "assist" Anne with the cooking...

When I say "assist" I mean, take pictures of what Anne had done...

Korean chicken with sides and sauces...

Ass ever, yumtastic...

I can no longer remember what we might have watched this evening but it may have been "Vera", "Midsomer Murders", definitely "Deutschland 89", maybe a couple of "Modern Family" or possibly a "Breaking Bad"...

Anyway, not bad memory considering...

Highlight of the Day : Outdoor breakfast...
