Awoke v early and spent a couple of hours listening to music discovered in 2018...

Packed, tidied, out to the car and then, breakfast again at Barter Books...

I was about to buy a tome on Modern Art for almost £10 (despite slightly torn cover) but was able to source it online for 2p plus postage...

This is why they have to have such a good cafe...

We started the drive north, taking in Seahouses and Bamburgh but stopping in neither, due to the lashing rain...

It had eased slightly by the time we arrived at Ford, a place previously unknown to us...

...with its castle (under restoration)...

..and church...

...inside of which an organist was practicing his art...

The rain continued...

We drove on to Coldstream but, instead of lunching there, decided to drive for another 45 mins or so over the moors (no pics sadly) to Gifford...

...where this was very much enjoyed at the Goblin Ha'...

Home around three and a parcel of goodies from Amazon was awaiting - I had pulled the trigger just before we left, utilising birthday funds provided by chums...

Meanwhile, Anne unpacked her goodies too..

...and coffee and birthday cake were enjoyed, as we caught up on some TV...

Then, dismantling the studio and putting it into the loft, in preparation for the arrival of Jorg and Manuela tomorrow...

Changing the room to this...

...and then, this...

In the evening, more TV catch up plus the ripping of the new acquisitions - James soundtracking the studio take down - very good it sounded too - then some work on the other birthday project, a, kind of, ambient album...

On listening in my pit late tonight, I realised more work is required...

Oh well..

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Steak sandwich...
