Up early and fine tuning this week's podcast content but not putting it together just yet...
Instead, scanning in some pics gathered together for my birthday a couple of weeks back, set out below, in chronological order...
From the looks of this first one, I have come full circle over the last 60 years...
School pic from, probably, just after moving to the East coast...
Two years later, in Erkelenz, while traveling around Germany with the EP...
Dressed as Alice Cooper, mid 90's I think...
Over four hours, it became apparent that I remain out of kilter with the "professional judges" of Europe and, indeed, the European public at large...

My fave, with sisters Sheila and Pam...
School pic from, probably, just after moving to the East coast...
On the Heiligen Berg just a mile or so from chum Jorg's home, in 1980, having spilled a large beer over my jeans...
Two years later, in Erkelenz, while traveling around Germany with the EP...
Mid to late 80's before giving it all up to open a record shop...
In our first Reptile records location just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh in the summer of 1992...
Dressed as Alice Cooper, mid 90's I think...
Anyway, enough of that...
Out to meet up with Dr Prog and pick up the CDs purchased yesterday but not brought home...
Breakfast at Quattro Zero, where I undertook my main aim, which is to cheer Dr Prog up...
Success on a plate...
An excellent venue, good breakfast (followed by cheesecake for the doc) and one which we may well attend again for that reason...
Good chat on music, his and Mrs Prog's recent Portuguese cruise, my birthday celebrations etc etc...
Then, he off to Fopp, me back home...
Three episodes of "Travel Man" enjoyed...
Then, the podcast recorded, mixed and uploaded...
At 4, Queen of the South v Raith Rovers in the 2nd leg of the Championship/1st Division play off final - a 0-0 draw meant Queens stay up, having won 3-1 on Wednesday night in Kirkcaldy...
A season to forget really, other than Stephen Dobbie's amazing goal tally of 44 for the season...
That’s 44 goals, including just 1 header, 3 penalties, 9 from outside the box and a hat trick against teams from every tier of Scottish League Football...
"Nil Nil and we're staying up etc etc"...
In the evening, post a very tasty home made lasagne, the Eurovision Song Contest...
Post the singing and pre the real voting, it seemed Denmark, Germany or Australia were unlikely to to be the winners, given my own personal ratings...
And so it was...
Over four hours, it became apparent that I remain out of kilter with the "professional judges" of Europe and, indeed, the European public at large...
Not to worry...
Very enjoyable nonsense...
Highlight of the Day : Queens staying up...
