Last breakfast at home...

Last views...

Leaving the cottage as we found it...

..and off, heading northwards...

But the trip was not over just yet...

A stop at Aysgarth...

With its church...

...and its falls...

...and its church, again...

Onwards...

...to Hawes...

A walk along the main street and a pop in to the library bookshop for me...

...where these were nabbed...

Then, to the Wensleydale Cheese Experience...

...where we learned more stuff about cheese, its history and how it's made than we could shake a cheesy stick at...

Loads of old equipment was on display...

...and the history was told around the walls...

To the viewing gallery...

Wallace and Grommit are fans...

Then, a fascinating demonstration as to how exactly the cheeses are made...

Finally, into the cheese shop for some tasting and purchasing - my faves...

Out and back to the village...

...where lunch was enjoyed - both our dishes involving, erm, cheese...

And off again, round to the other side of the valley...

...to Hardraw...

...and our last visit of the trip, the Hardraw Force - the largest single-drop waterfall in England...

Back to the car...

Holiday over...

A drive to the M6, which became the M74, then the A702 via Biggar back to Edinburgh, all non-stop...

Home just after 6...

4hrs 21mins of driving from door to door...

A very enjoyable holiday...

Highlight of the Day : Has to be the cheese...
