Happy anniversary to us, as year 35 begins...

Up early for me as the rain stotted down outside...

Glenn Gould soundtracked some Twitter pre tasty breakfast at home...

Then, out around 11 and a short drive to Grassington, initially blocked by some flooding but achieved via a short detour...

A nice wee town which, I'd imagine, is completely packed during the summer months...

For some reason, two biographies (Schiller and Goethe) (in German) were partaken of at the second hand bookstore...

Also entering the fray was a new box of firelighters, a big bag of kindling and some good advice on both fire lighting and the husbandry thereof, from a very nice lady in an old style hardware store...

A small snail hitched a lift to nearby Skipton...

Here, the Exec Producer found an appropriate jacket while your correspondent picked up a previously unowned by him Kraftwerk album (always only ever had the German version) for a couple of quid...

And, at last, the weather was starting to pick up...

On the way back, we stopped off at Barden Tower...

Back home...

...a more successful effort at the fire ensued, followed by some singing of songs in the kitchen...

Drinks and some TV before heading out at 7:30 to the Red Lion for our anniversary dinner...

Yum...

Home and enjoyed a delightful and touching wee film, “The Hundred-Foot Journey”...

To bed around midnight...

A long and enjoyable day...
