Up late (7:30) today...

Breakfast at home, then, a pop by from the local (though brought up in Falkirk) plumber, determining the need for judicious use of a new washer...

Then, out on the road, soundtracked in the main by LPs released and purchased in 1983, travelling south to Haworth and the home of the Bronte sisters...

Parked, paid, noticed signs advising thefts from cars, noted the relative remoteness, emptiness and all round not likingness of the chosen car park but pressed on nonetheless...

Only to find, after a bit of a walk to the parsonage/musem, another well attended car park right next to it, which, disappointingly, had not been pointed out to us via signs on our original approach...

A walk back to the car and brought it round to the new place, parked and paid again...

Into the museum, which was very impressive...

I took part in an artwork - Clare Twomy is having two sessions daily for visitors to write a line from “Wuthering Heights” to create a replacement pencil-written manuscript (the original has never been found) over a period of 20 months...

As my first line only contained one word, I got to write two lines!

Into the nearby church, where the sisters' dad was the minister...

A wander round the village on the hill, within the larger town of Haworth and a tasty lunch at Villette, named after a Bronte novel...

...and a n item for the table purchased at the home of this cat and these chickens...

At 1:45, commenced the drive to nephew Andy's in Yeadon, a suburb of that Leeds...

Arrived 30 minutes early...

A good afternoon of chat, including a wee jam with Andy and grand-nephew Kerr...

Grand-nephew Dougie is still to small to play the guitar, or is he?

A look round sister Sheila and Andrew Snr's new motor home...

In the evening a lovely tea of home made lasagne and apple crumble (separate plates obviously)...

...and then, back on the road around 8:15 after refuelling and arriving “home” 45 minutes later after a hairy drive throught the pitch black roads of the Yorkshire Dales, making sure no small beasts were harmed on the way...

A programme on the history of polyphonic music in the church in England through the reigns of Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I as the church swung between reformation, catholicism and protestantism entertained...

The news – inflation, Brexit, etc etc – then, bed...

Highight of the Day : The Brontes and family visit...
