Up and listening to one of the new CDs from yesterday...

It's just OK I suppose...

Then on to some of the recent downloads, which are better - mostly...

To the gym with Anne...

The Killers new one soundtracked...

Of course spending a couple of hours there over the weekend will probably not make up for the various pints of lager and glasses of wine drunk and pasta eaten on Friday; nor yesterday's fine fayre chez Julia; nor the curry and cake intake due to take place later today...

But maybe, just maybe, it'll help...

Re-learned "Wichita Lineman", Anne having mentioned my never having played said classic, while we looked through Julia's big book of cover songs last night...

There is, however, a recording of my rendition, on a Sombre Reptiles CD from 1995 entitled "Bitter Sweet Covers"...

Of course it's currently unavailable to anyone but me...

To my mum's around three - she was bright and breezy and has hired a physio to assist her in strengthening her legs and arms...

Good on her for that...

To Jane and Bobby's for a birthday tea of sorts for Jane and Maureen (in two days' time)...

Olly and Kitty had made this...

...which was, of course, attracting considerably less attention than Slovenia V Scotland in the World Cup on the TV...

Leigh Griffiths scored a cracking opening goal and Scotland were 1-0 up at half time...

Kitty and I headed to the Indian with her list...

We got a little bit money off and Kitty got a free can of Irn Bru...

What a nice man Mr Feast is...

By the time we returned with (far too much) food, it was 1-1 then 2-1 to Slovenia...

A late equaliser and a sending off in injury time only staved off the inevitable glorious failure we've come to know and regret since France 1998...

Oh well...

It's only a game...

The cake was enjoyed by all...

...including the birthday girls...

A look round Bobby's mum's new apartment on the way home as he picked up Rafa the Dog...

And, of course, as we arrived home, Tiger trotted in...

He's quite good at pretending to be sound asleep around midnight when it's time for him to go...

A crafty wee monkey indeed...

Highlight of the Day : Family visits...
