Up early and some "work" before everyone else woke...

The view from the office this morning as I popped to Tesco for glue and bread - don't ask...

Back home, post breakfast, the boy got to listen to his new LPs...

He panicked when the side came to an end - not knowing what to do and thinking he'd broken something...

We had to explain he needed to turn it over...

Out to the Gallery of Modern Art...

The boys and their phones...

Ah, that modern art, eh?

This was a bit more like it...

This wasn't...

Upstairs...

...and some, probably inappropriate, mucking about...

Bridget Riley...

The boy loves a selfie...

Out...

...and over the road to SNGMA2...

...for some Joseph Beuys...

..which this isn't...

...and this is...

The boy was taken with the Eduardo Paolozzi room...

The band's getting back together...

More Beuys...

This from my first Documenta in 1982...

Some other stuff in the Surrealists room...

...including this painting of  a building where Anne later worked...

This by natural history man, Desmond Morris - an early participant in the movement in the UK...

Upstairs for more Beuys...

All arted out, we retired to the cafe...

The boy likes his phone...

Out...

While Anne took Ansem home, Jorg and I headed uptown...

To the Tourist Info for him to buy a clutch of postcards with a view to creating a collage back home then, almost inevitably, to Fopp where we both emerged with £3 copies of Alice Cooper's "Welcome 2 My Nightmare", convincing ourselves it was worth it due to a previously unknown about poster being included in this particular version...

I also found the debut from young American Max Jury, whom we saw in February during our visit to that London...

Back home, Anne had prepared some excellent burrittos...

...which were much enjoyed with copious amounts of beer and wine before three episodes of "Blacklist" rounded off the day...

Highlight of the day : Art...

Comprehensive gallery coverage, like some virtual visit. No need for me to go now. Thanks, that's a hour I've gained today and a day I've saved...the power of blogging.

Ah but you need to go along to read the cards so you know what it all means...
