Up early and at the dining room table working on the relocated laptop...
Well, when I say "working"...
Adding some albums to my iTunes from the hard drive gratefully received from Jorg...
Later, another tasty breakfast courtesy of the Exec Producer...
Ansem was ready for Rumbummeln II - The Return...
Down the hill and an airport bus into the city centre...
Walked up Cockburn St, visiting the first of many record shops...
...and noting this wee dog guarding (presumably) it's owner's shop...
Many nick nack ninnie and souvenir shops were also visited - presents for those back home and, indeed, the visitors were purchased...
A new hat for the boy, while B&W prints of Edinburgh were acquired by his dad...
A break for lunch...
Outside, it was noted that your correspondent does not look his best in headgear...
A new jacket for the boy - looking cool...
We were up at Causewayside - a plethora of charity shops for us to trawl through...
The boy's target was a ZZ Top album...
There was one playing in this shop but it turned out to be Spotify...
Finally, having exhausted all possibilities, charity shop-wise (although your correspondent did pick up a trio of "good things"), to Record Shak...
This photo demonstrates the dilemma of a freckly bonce which does not lend itself well to headgear...
The Exec Producer got straight into some crate digging and soon came up with various ZZ Top titles for the boy...
Old chum Dave was having some difficulty in locating one of the two titles the boy had chosen to be his "first ever LP purchases"...
Jorg also made some jazz based purchases, while I partook of a tasty Miles Davis set from 1960 - and spotted one of my own "first LPs owned" - the 2LP set on CBS, "Fill Your Head With Rock"...
Leaving Dave searching for the elusive LP, we made our way to our final stop, Hogs Head, where Jorg took on yet another Jimi Hendrix disc - I eschewed some cheap Blue Oyster Cult and Little Feat discs, as they were apparently all already on the gifted hard drive...
Back to Record Shak...
...and the proposed purchases were completed...
The walk back to the bus included some unpictured revisits to already visited venues and yet more purchases...
Ansem liked this purchase...
Jorg and I nipped to Tesco for supplies then an Indian takeaway was ordered and collected...
It proved to be a trifle too large for your quartet to cope with - but very tasty nonetheless...
We saw things out with three episodes of "Blacklist" - it's getting better...
An excellent day...
Highlight of the Day : Shopping with the guests...
