Awaiting the arising...

And so it arose - the man in black...

This morning Jorg presented me with a hard drive containing around 13,000 albums...

Oh. My. Lord...

Once I buy a connecting lead, there's around 2.5 years (at least) listening in this (and that assumes 12 hours a day, every single day)...

It has around 1.5 times the music already in my iTunes...

I'm sue there'll be a goodly amount of overlap...

At and around breakfast, mucking about with the camera took place...

...and feeding birds were noted...

We headed down the hill - rainbows were spotted...

...and orders were fulfilled - before we took the bus to Princes St and wandered through the gardens...

We climbed the Mound...

Those Germans and their fascination with mirrors...

A very large tourist-centric shop was enjoyed...

...as were several whisky-based establishments...

A quick visit to Richer Sounds to allow Jorg to do some HiFi research - and for me to buy a lead for the new hard drive at a nearby store - was followed by a walk to St Mary St and our old shop at No 4, like our other old shop, now a cafe...

Coffees and smoothies were enjoyed, along with some unpictured complimentary cake...

...before a tasty late lunch was partaken of at a nearby Baked Potato Shop...

We walked down the Royal Mile to Unknown Pleasures - a Muhammad Ali poster for the boy and a disc of Bassoon Quartets by Ritter for me...

Round Jeffrey St and through the station to Fopp...

After trying on two hats earlier, Anne had hit paydirt at M&S...

Meanwhile, at Fopp, Jorg spent a fortune, mainly on Blue Note box sets...

Ansem received the first season for a US show called "Blacklist" on DVD,,,

The guy in the hat was engaging the assistant in the sort of mind-numbing conversation that reminded me why we no longer have a record shop...

Another bus journey home, all the way to the terminus...

Back home, the last two of the four recently ordered Laura Pausini CDs had arrived...

Some relaxing and looking over the content of the new hard drive took place...

An excellent pasta bake from Anne with salad on the side and an evening spent watching "Blacklist" dubbed into German with English subtitles ensued...

Post the Germans' retiral, some English language programmes from the Tivo entertained...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Rumbummeln...
