Up reasonably early for a Sunday...

Listening to new acquisitions and downloading some Sally Beamish (re a ballet we will see next Friday) before heading out for a meet with Dr Prog - settling up with him for Kraftwerk and Neal Morse - the latter will be attended too by the Exec Producer...

Coffee and cake were enjoyed at Summerhall...

...before the Doc had to head off to a family do re that well known Prog Rock Opera, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"...

We eschewed a mooted visit to the Gallery of Modern Art for some Beuys and visited the Hearts Museum instead, Anne's second visit in four days...

Interesting...

A season's worth of stats from the 50's...

...when Queens were in the top flight (and Third Lanark existed)...

Footballs from early 20th Century cup finals...

I was at this friendly with my dad...

I've been to quite a few of Hearts' best games...

I was once a supporter and they remain my second favourite club...

In my youth, I used to support Glasgow Rangers - but that club doesn't exist any more...

We visited the memorial garden...

...and this plaque to our much missed friend and my musical partner in crime, Mr Jamie Frain - gone far, far too soon...

Home, and Queens' game against Linfield in the Irn Bru Cup was on the telly...

This free kick from Dobbie sealed a 2-0 win in extra time - which Queens ought to have won about 4-0 in normal time but Linfield's goalie was in spectacular form...

Meanwhile, squirrel wars in the garden...

To Anne's mum's for a well attended tea...

Jane and Maureen both celebrate birthdays tomorrow...

So there was cake...

...and candles...

...and raspberries...

Back home and Anne watched "Strictly", while I found a broadcast of Laura Pausini this year in Milan, playing to a sold out San Siro stadium in June...

We will see her in the relatively intimate surroundings of the Hammersmith Apollo next Saturday...

She has had to cancel dates in Spain, France and Luxembourg due to illness and restarts her tour in London...

Ended the day with the opening scenes of "War of the Worlds", the rest being recorded, no doubt to be deleted, unwatched, at some point in the future...

Weekend over again...

Highlight of the Day : Laura "live"...
