Tomorrow it'll be 7 weeks since the op - which has flown by.  There's no doubting I'm much better but still a bit to go yet...

I can do almost everything I was able to before...

Paracetamol isn't good for the liver and Cocodamol has other unfortunate effects, so I'm striving not to go back to painkilling - which is probably why the pain is so noticeable...

Onwards though...

And so, up at stupid o'clock...

On Twitter, a discussion re King Crimson's album "Lizard", released 45 years ago yesterday...

I wondered if I still had my LP...

I do...

...and I found a note in my diary for November 1974 re buying it at Cockburn Street Market for just 110 of your English new pence...

...although £1.10, inflation adjusted is £9.77 today...

My copy is not a pink label original (which change hands for around £250 these days) but, this "palm tree" version is still worth a respectable £120 or so - not that I'll be selling it any time soon...

Despite the above, I didn't play it - although it's been an all time fave since the day I bought it...

Out this morning for breakfast and then Xmas shopping - including something for new grandnephew Dougie...

This, of course, included a trip to Fopp - I swithered over discs by Django Reinhardt and The Orb but, in the end, came away with nothing (apart from what Anne might have bought me)...

No lunch...

In the afternoon, some music listening, including Chet Baker and Miles Davis from yesterday's Secret Santa, some new music from Tangerine Dream - the first ever without founder Edgar Froese - and further music released in 2015...

Also found a few jazz compilations that were missing from iTunes and rectified the situation...

In footie, Hearts were beaten by a penalty in the last 5 minutes in Aberdeen - a bizarre give away by their defender, for no apparent reason - meanwhile, last night, Queens came from behind at home to Raith to draw 1-1...

In the evening, a very tasty curry from The Curry House - now returned to service after a 10 month or so hiatus while they moved premises...

"Strictly" was watched but with jazz on the cans and a goodly amount of snoozing...

No "Dr Who" this week so "Big Bang" and "Dad's Army" filled the void, before episodes 7 & 8 of  the excellent "The Bridge III" took us to bedtime...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Uptown with Anne...

1974-1983 - a reasonable amount of commentary but it fizzles out for most of the time - I did, though, record all the records I bought...
