The view from our window this morning...

...and the purchases from yesterday...

Jorg had arranged an excellent breakfast for us in a nearby village...

Sometimes he likes to just enjoy the sound of a train...

Beautiful weather today...

Xenia has all sorts of apps on her phone...

Presumably this uses the same tech as does red eye recognition software...

Back home for some relaxing...

...and trying, in vain, to sort out Jorg's laptop problems - it's the oldest laptop I've ever seen...

We took Xenia to a nearby farm where she looks after and rides various horses, before driving on to Fritzlar...

A beautiful little town...

Jorg covetted this stone for his garden - he's planning some changes...

Two old chums on a day out...

The heat necessitated ice cream...

Then, on to Homberg...

In his younger days, Jorg and his friends would dare each other to drive their cars through this space...

A good afternoon out...

More relaxation time back at the apartment...

The walls still have pictures which belonged to Jorg's grandmother...

Here she is on her wedding day - her husband was declared missing, presumed dead, in 1944, shortly after Jorg's mum was born...

His grandmother lived the remaining 67 years of her life on her own...

...and here, Jorg's kids, Ansem, Teja and Xenia...

...and the Jorgmeister himself...

Ansem finally returned from his party and we drove back towards Fritzlar for a Thai meal...

While we waited, Ansem completed ten circuits of the restaurant...

Super tasty food...

Back home, the boy enjoyed the music of AC/DC...

...about which he was considerably more enthusiastic than his Latin homework, despite what these pictures might seem to convey...

The sun went down as we listened to music and chatted...

Eventually, Ansem fell asleep...

...while the music continued into the night...

Good times...

Highlight of the Day : Fritzlar...
