Second day of summer - will it last?

Out under the sun and sky...

All set for a scorcher...

Walkabout at lunchtime involving posting orders and collecting photos for Anne's mum...

Good skies on the way home...

...to another very tasty salad from the Exec Producer of tasty, zingy salads...

Then, some ripping and listening - ten new arrivals today - a splurge re funds received for my birthday a month or so ago...

A further 10 hrs of Blue Note has arrived...

Music by and inspired by Coltrane and Holiday...

Artists new to Blue Note way back in 2001, some still going strong, others going perhaps not so strong...

Seventeen classic Blue Note tracks featured in TV commercials over the years...

Blue Big Bands - should do exactly what it says on the cover...

Count Basie, Dukes Ellington and Pearson, Buddy Rich etc etc...

Blue Broadway - show tunes Blue Note style...

All the greats, all the hits - but, hopefully, in a more acceptable form...

Around fifty years of top jazz, curated for the French market...

Sixteen love songs, including, in an overkill stylee, three (count 'em) versions of "My Funny Valentine"...

"Blue'n'Soul : Hear It Through the Grapevine" - fourteen soul classics, covered by the stars of Blue Note...

The only "solo" title of the crop - the second of just two albums as leader on Blue Note by forgotten genius of the organ, "Baby Face" Willette...

Last but not least of the 10 new discs today, "Codex Faenza", beautiful music from the 14th Century...

That's not a typo, despite the cover...

All the featured composers had lived and died by 1399 - this music is over 700 years old...

A break to watch new crime series "The Interceptor" which looks very promising...

Then, late on "Sun Trap", which is "not bad", this the third of six episodes...

Right you two..

Highlight of the Day : Arrival of a package...
