Last morning in Bremen...

Supplies running low...

Last look...

...and to the station...

...to pick up the car...

...for the drive to Felsberg...

We made a couple of stops...

Firstly in Hildesheim...

...which was just starting a weekend long celebration of 1,200 years of history...

...and has one of the many branches around Germany of Jesus' Jewellery shop...

We had a quick lunch here then drove on to the beautiful town of Hann Munden, which owes its name to a shortening from Hannoversch Munden by the railways which serve it...

Refreshment was provided...

...as was entertainment...

A walk around the town for an hour or so ensued...

Apologies for picture quality today, it took some considerable treatment just to get them this presentable...

Suffice to say, it was roasting today...

On, for the last leg of the journey, stopping only to let a train past, on our way back to the autobahn...

We arrived at Jorg and Yvonne's house in the late afternoon...

Unfortunately, since we were last here in 2012 for Documenta 13, they have separated and Jorg is living in the nearby town of Gensungen, where I resided when I lived here 35 years ago...

Eldest daughter, Xenia (16), loves her mobile phone - in fact, it may well have been glued to her hand...

Yvonne prepared some excellent pasta and salad for tea...

Youngest son, Teja (11), had had a hard week of school and football training - with more to come this weekend in Darmstadt - where he was off to tomorrow for the weekend...

There are new rabbits too...

After dinner, we took a stroll around the town...

Xenia...

...finds it embarrassing that her school is so dreadfully, colourfully painted...

But it does look better than it did when I worked here...

On, into the countryside...

..and some small lakes which, in all our times here, we'd never seen until today...

Of course, while I am accusing Xenia of being attached to her mobile phone, the same might be said of me and my camera...

Back to the town...

...and past the front of the school...

Later on, some billiards (or what we call pool) in Teja's bedroom..

...and a reminder of one of yesterday's artworks, re a player who dared to leave his beloved Borrussia Dortmund...

Drinks and chat into the night, initially out in the garden then indoors - where Teja offered me a straw for my beer...

Cheeky monkey...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Back in Felsberg...
