Alex Salmond was caught, red-handed, lying about the content of the so-called "vow" and how the report from the Smith Commission on new powers for the Scottish Parliament somehow failed to fulfill it...
The man is an embarrassment to Scotland, talking over Andrew Neil, Michael Portillo and Diane Abbott throughout the entire piece, notwithstanding his "take of the week" having been nothing but a party political broadcast for the SNP...
It seems, like so many other people in Scotland, he's conveniently forgotten what was actually in "the vow" and indeed that only 37% of the electorate voted for Independence...
Just to remind, here's the thing in full...
As "vowed", a No vote has delivered faster, safer and better change than separation...
Look closely Mr Salmond - there's nothing about devo max or home rule or full control over welfare or full taxation autonomy or anything else you insist on continuing to bang on about after having seen your dream of fiscally flawed independence comprehensively voted down in the referendum...
Maybe if you'd spent the last 20 years actually putting together a plan for independence which had a chance of working out economically, instead of publishing a book of pipedreams and nonsense, you might have realised your goal...
