Up early and out for a day of golf - only my second ever game, the last having taken place a good many years ago now - and only over nine holes - today the full eighteen...

The match took place in Bonnyrigg - I made my way down for the bus at 7:20...

...and was approaching the course around 90 minutes later...

Breakfast, then on to the course...

There now follow some gratuitous golf shots...

The Three Musketeers to my D'Artagnan comprised chums Spike, JB and Wheelers..

The weather and the course itself were beautiful...

I did not too badly all things considered...

A good four hours after hitting the first ball, we finally reached the 18th tee...

My score was 115 all told - not too bad and certainly not the worst...

Lunch in the clubhouse...

...followed by a convoluted journey home and a quiet night in...

Not really a good walk spoiled, more an enjoyable walk with chums and a game of golf thrown in - I would definitely do it again - even though, today, my bag, clubs and shoes were borrowed - thanks to chums Spike and JY Johnny...

Highlight of the Day : Never thought I'd say this but...golfing...
