Up early and enjoying the sounds of Mr Feldman once again as I compiled a ten track sampler of the artists announced so far for this year's Denovali Festival in London in April...

Sounds like it's going to to be a rewarding two days...

Tidied up the desk...

Out for croissants and, on my return, while we watched last night's two episodes of "The Bridge", Meg the Black cat found a new place...

Meanwhile, out the front window...

..a robin visited...

A donation to Cancer Research allowed some useful wooden boxes, once used to transport wine, to enter the house and some time was spent initiating a reorganisation of the back room...

Then, to my mum's to pick her up and on out to Penicuik for a fifteen attendee Sunday lunch type scenario - which also involved two dogs......

There was much trying on of glasses for no apparent reason...

...and good chat...

After a splendid meal prepared by sister Sheila, games were played - later, "Uno" but, first, "Tumbling Monkeys"...

Young Kerr and his dad both enjoyed it - as did the other monkeys at the table...

Later, Andy demonstrated his balancing skills...

All in all, a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon and evening - hopefully we'll do it again soon...

We took mum home around 7:45 and were home ourselves with 40 minutes to spare before "The Three Musketeers" - which I think will be a staple for Sunday nights over the coming weeks...

The reorganising continued...

...followed by an update of this and, once again, the weekend had gone...

A good one though...

Crispycat Latest Release

Between 1980 and 1995, Sombre Reptiles released 35 LPs. At present, all of these albums are deleted. "Songs of the Sombre Reptiles 1980-1995" is an 81 Track Virtual 6CD/10LP Box Set covering this pre-Cloudland Blue Quartet period. The versions of the songs included in the Box Set are taken from eight sources, recorded between 1993 and 1996: The three long deleted volumes of "Songs of the Sombre Reptiles", originally released on cassette in 1993 and 1994 via Edinburgh Record Shop, Reptile Records - all but 3 of the 57 tracks from these three records are included; Further album tracks from the final four Sombre Reptiles records, "Galleryshard (1993), "Kernelcrux" (1994), "Bitter Sweet Covers" (1995) and "Starcrossfix" (1995); Previously unreleased re-recordings from 1996, just before Sombre Reptiles became Cloudland Blue Quartet.

Cloudland Blue Eclectic Selection

In a one-man crusade to encourage the world to broaden its musical horizons, David has been broadcasting a weekly Eclectic Selection of music from across his vast record collection since 2014. On the programme each week, you'll hear 25 Tracks, kicking off with David's LP of the Week, followed by his six other LPs of the day, three or so CBQ, or CBQ related, tracks, a single of the week (if there is one), a couple more singles (if there are any) and a further eclectic mix of other things new into the collection... It's eclectic!
