Last day...
Breakfast...
Packed...
..and off...
First stop, Alnmouth...
The sea remained stormy...
I was not allowed to bathe...
On the riverside though...
..things were calm and there was no wind to speak of...
Back to the car...
...and on to Craster...
The sea remained stormy...
And the wind continued to be "up" as we looked along the coast to Dunstanburgh Castle...
A walk past the smokie shop...
...and a very nice purchase made at this gallery...
...before coffee and scones were enjoyed...
On to Seahouses...
We did not take a boat out onto the North Sea...
..but could see their destination in the distance...
...along with our next target...
The sea remained stormy...
After buying some adhesive based products, re future musical packaging use, on to Bamburgh...
..and its imposing castle...
Down to the beach...
Windy...
Stormy...
Interesting skies...
Very...
...cold...
...indeed...
Back to the castle...
Sand removed from shoes...
..and a quick sandwich for lunch before heading through borders country to our last stop, Lauder...
Coffee at the Flat Cat Gallery...
...and back to the car for the last journey over the moors...
...arriving home just before five to find cat sitter Joan, sister of Anne's best chum Lynn...
And, sure enough, the wee black beastie has now clawed all three of our new seats...
What can you do...
So a great holiday in Northumberland and batteries recharged...
Ended it all with a tasty Indian takeaway and the inevitable ctach up with everything which needed to be caught up on...
Highlight of the day : A drive up the coast...
