Yowzah!!

Despite taking the time to look through all of this, I was still on time for tonight's Capital Models session until a text from Jamie advising a continuing lack of headphones (i.e. same as last week)...

This resulted in a trip to the attic in search of a small plug to convert a mini-jack to full size jack...

Unsuccessful...

Eventually, found one in a box in the back room after much searching...

Now slightly late - then, a call from nephew Andy - also running late and advising he would be there asap...

To Keith's - Jamie was already there, complete with small plug identical to the one resulting from my search...

Also present, our first drummer Jim Park, sadly, not to play along but to borrow some of Keith's cymbals for a gig he is doing tomorrow night as a warm up for one later in London...

Setting up takes a while and just as we were almost ready, Andy arrived - disappointingly without having had time this week to work on matters or to have put together suggestions for more recent covers...

All in all, probably a better session than last week (to which I listened back whilst in Warkworth at the weekend)...

We concentrated on fewer songs and worked through a few specific areas on some, rather than just bashing through everything...

Jamie...

Keith...

Andy...

Of course, given we can only be in the same room together around once every ten days, there isn't really time to go into the finer details of many of the songs...

On that front we will probably cut down on the repertoire this year...

Last Christmas we played around 40 songs - so the inevitable cull has kind of started...

Home just after eleven to find Scotland had beaten Croatia again - too late of course given the horrendous start to the campaign - but boding well for the future..

Mind you, always being seeded fourth in the qualifying group leaves little chance of ever making the final stages of a tournament again but we'll see...

Ended the day listening to the first disc from the KC box set...

Highlight of the Day : KC Box and playing...
