Guy Fawkes' night - when I was young this was an event - now it passes almost unnoticed other than for the odd unwanted loud bang in the distance...
Soundtracked initially by yesterday's purchases...
Wandered into HMV at lunchtime and noted some classical offers...
On my way home I returned to partake of their 3CD set of Mr Martinu's six symphonies...
Our first Indian takeaway for a while sustained this evening whilst goggleboxing was the entertainment menu for most of the night, including Tivo'd "Law & Order : Criminal Intent" and "The Trip" plus "New Tricks" ( a guilty pleasure - and always good to see James Bolam) and "Graham Norton", including Pet Shop Boys promoting their third version of their greatest hits - to the sound of a barrel being scraped..
Inbetween some of this, Meg the Black Cat and I enjoyed the first disc of the Martinu set...

Someone let off fireworks a 3am this morning on my street. Woke ese up man! Glad Meg is doin fine. Heard some of the virtual gig last Sunday and it was good. Well done, again.

glad Meg is ok. Our black feline had uge trouble only 2 days ago when my wife found a tick the size of a golf ball on his neck. Poor fella was is still zonked.

yes, it was huge. had 2 small children following me asking "daddy what is THAT?" as I disposed of the horrid thing.
