More work on the Cloudland Blue Quartet film today...

Wasted several hours though on processing it because I realised by chance that there’s not much difference quality wise between the full size top of the range version and a lower pixel version which takes a tenth of the time to produce...

While Anne went off to watch Hearts lose to Rangers 2-1 at Tyncastle (through cheating apparently), I took the opportunity to rehearse the set a few times...

Still not 100% convinced...

My other quest of the day was to listen to some 20th Century classical music and, with this in mind, I pulled a few discs from the collection to give them a spin over the coming days...

Also progressed the planned Bad Plus compilation while Queen of the South beat league leaders Dunfermline 2-0 in Dumfries...

In the evening to Munro climbing chums Sid and Debbie’s for some lovely tasty French recipe nosh based on a course they attended in the summer with Michelin Star Masterchef René Berard after winning a free competition...

The best pea soup I’ve ever tasted was followed by lamb in a pistachio crust with roast potatoes and a Tian (a kind of ratatouille but with caramelised onions as a bed)...

A wonderful chocolate desert with preserved strawberries at its centre, was followed in turn by flambéed apples...

The night was rounded off with some chat and some games and some cocktails...


 

....and ended up stretching to 3:30 in the morning, at which time we caught a taxi home...

Top notch...
