Well now, it's Tuesday morning as I write this and, as ever, I'm catching up...

As far as I can remember, breakfast at home...

Then, the usual time wasting nonsense on the PC..

Then, despite my loathing now for live appearances, a first (not very encouraging) rehearsal of the "Splinterheart" songs for a possible outing - before the call to arms from Annie around 1pm to ready myself for the day...

A bus trip over to Leith and Keith & Maureen's for a family afternoon, joined also by Jane, Bobby and the kids...

Anne's mum is on holiday in Jersey hence the decamp...

A good time was had by all - including some communal dancing re songs featured in Anne and Jane's Zumba classes...

Then, another bus trip up to the town centre to meet with chums Margaret and Glen - firstly for a relaxing drink and then on to our venue for this year's Edinburgh Festival Fireworks Concert...

We met also with Kris with a K but his girlfriend Monica was rather the worse for wear following a bit of a night last night and so was not in attendance...

Our venue was, as last year, the best in Edinburgh - a sixth floor balcony directly opposite the castle...

As usual the fireworks were spectacular, althought the music (American Film Scores) left something to be desired - I wouldn't mind if they played Handel every year...

At 10 we all said our goodbyes and headed off into the night...

It took us until 11:30 to make it home - where I found, perhaps in a "trying to tell me something" way, my trusty music stand of almost eight years standing had given up the ghost entirely of its own accord...

Highlight of the day : Fireworks...
