Replacements...

Playlist
Various - 6 Minute Tracks Playlist
Janacek - Piano Sonatas
Richard Shindell - Reunion Hill
Cloudland Blue Quartet - I Have Not Flown Away
Various - Blue Breakbeats Vol 4
Various - Blue Juice

Up at 7 and wrote this up before heading back to the gym just after nine for a five mile run, soundtracked by 6 minute songs and pieces...

Back home for breakfast, then, having decided on tonight's cooking task (Cod Creole), out and over to Leith, where we walked up and down Leith Walk, including a stop off at record/book store Elvis Shakespeare (no purchases)...

Here are a couple of buildings I like which we passed on our travels...

This on Leith Walk...

...and this near the shore...

No cod at the fishmonger, so we made do with haddock...

Then, on down to the shore...

...for a great lunch at The Shore Bar...

Mmm. tasty ham hash cakes with chips done to a t...

Home via Tesco for ingredients and some Cadbury's mini eggs for Easter (despite both being devout atheists)...

Back at the house, I worked up a new piece based on the opening notes of a Janacek piano sonata - not really sure where this'll be going but it keeps me busy...

Meanwhile, Queens were held to a 3-3 draw away at Morton with David Witteween, on loan from Hearts and, frankly, one of the worst strikers I've ever seen, scoring a hat trick, including the 94th minute equaliser...

With Hearts also drawing (away in Paisley), there was little celebration at Crispycat Towers come 5 o'clock...

Come 6:25 though, it was time for the first in the new series of "Dr Who", a much anticipated event...

It was, inevitably, a bit of a let down - too much comedy - though the new assistant is very attractive - of course I will keep watching...

Then to the kitchen for Haddock, rather than Cod, Creole - and a joint, rather than a solo, venture...

...from the "pan-cam"...

Another successful, tasty dish...

The first in the new series of "Ashes to Ashes", Tivo'd last night, also (mostly) disappointed - for me it's never been up to the standard of "Life on Mars" - again though, I will continue watching...

"Law & Order" and "Match of the Day" rounded things off on what had the feeling of a bit of a lacklustre Saturday somehow, despite plenty of activity...

Highlight of the Day : Doing all the stuff I like doing (and some I don't)...
