Cooking and compiling (and sneezing and coughing)...

Playlist
Deus - Vantage Point
Various - Classical Music (see below)
Albinoni - Complete Oboe Concertos
Haydn - Complete String Quartets
Herbie Hancock - My Point of View
Wetton/Downes - Icon III
The Killers - Day and Age

Much of the day was spent listening to classical music, although it did start with the very excellent Deus...

Decided to revamp the classical compilations for brother-in-law Bobby and the revised, rather excellent and thought provoking (CD1) and uplifting (CD2) tracklist ended up as follows (remember, I am The Compiler)...

The cover pics were composed back in 2006 by superimposing a whole day's photos on top of one another...

A skill rediscovered today...

Did some PC Spring Cleaning...

It was a beautiful day...

...and, as Anne worked in the garden...

...your correspondent made his way to Tesco for (a) medical supplies re the ongoing lurgi scernario and (b) the ingredients for tonight's cook - a variation on the "Coriander Chicken with Creme Fraiche on a bed of Crushed Parmesan Mash" from a few weeks back...

Prior to the big cook though, we lunched in the garden while Meg the Black Cat tried her paw at a few crosswords...

...to no avail...

As evening came, post an interesting "Countryfile", I took to the kitchen and tried out CD2 of the Classical Compilation as a Cooking Soundtrack - it worked well and we were soon tucking into what turned out to be a very tasty dish indeed...

A couple of twists added with black peppercorns and chili flakes at the outset (along with a goodly helping of spring onions) - and I forewent the lure of roasted pine nuts in the mash...

Possibly all the better for those decisions...

Post dinner and post "You've Been Framed", I retired upstairs for more surfing and writing, whilst listening to the wonderful baroque work of Mr Albinoni - I am a sucker for his Oboe Concerti and some tasty wee string quartets from Mr Haydn...

As ever, Sunday ended with "Match of the day 2", soundtracked by more top tunes...

Highlight of the Day : Cooking and compiling...
