Backheelers...

Playlist
Various - Compilations Jukebox on Shuffleplay
Uriah Heep - The Lansdowne Road Tapes
The Beatles - Solo Singles 1969-1975 (2xCD-R)

09 09 09 and The Beatles are everywhere you look...

See those nice new boots in the pic from yesterday - well, i wore them this morning and look what they've done to my wee heels...

...I could hardly walk to Fopp but just managed it and no more, purchasing 3 DVDs for a tenner - David Bowie in Nicolas Roeg's "The Man Who Fell to Earth" - one of my all time favourite films - another, probably rubbish, Dr Who adventure and ELP's live rendition of Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition"...

In the evening we watched as Scotland once again exited a world Cup Campaign before the final stages - losing 1-0 to Holland at Hampden, having hit both the bar and the post at 0-0..

In the end, a 0-0 draw wouldn't have been enough anyway and I'm sure if Scotland had had the temerity to score, Holland, one of the top three teams in the world right now, would have moved up a gear to ensure they didn't drop a single point during their campaign...

Much the same as England haven't so far - the media hype has started already of course re them winning the tournament next Summer...

And, for that reason and because I'm not one for breaking with tradition, we at Crispycat will be supporting anyone bar England I'm afraid...

Finished the evening watching the amazing Derren Brown pick all six lottery numbers correctly (none of ours luckily, as we had no ticket) and then a repeat of one of his shows from 2005 that we'd not previously seen, "The Gathering"...

Unbelievable...

He will reveal on Friday how he predicted the lottery numbers...

I will be taping that for posterity - and possible future use...

Highlight of the Day : Derren Brown...

Create beauty, value imperfection, live deeply. You will always have problems, and you will always have joyful times, but once wabi sabi becomes part of your awareness, you will have perspective.

Yes the b word happened to a number of houses around here including ours, fortunately it wasn't as bad as it might have been.
