A beautiful bright morning with the moon high in the sky...

Still labouring under the cosh of the shredded heels though....

The new boots lie beneath my desk awaiting redemption...

Today is Anne’s mum’s birthday and so, this evening we were off out for a family meal...

Anne met me just after five and we walked along George St, past its dreadful gaudy bars and hotels, to the East End of Princes St and stopped in at the very tasteful Café Royale for our first drink of the evening...

At 6:40 we walked up over the North Bridge...

...to Biblo on the corner of Chamber St, where we enjoyed another drink, your correspondent partaking of fruity cider which tasted like purple Spangles...

Then, over the road to Mother India in Infirmary Street where we met with sister-in-law Jane and her husband Bobby...

...and Anne’s mum...

Soon we were nine, as brother–in-law Keith, his wife Maureen and her two daughters Abby and Rebecca joined us...

A splendid time was had by all – Mother India is a tapas type place and so everyone ordered a couple of dishes each and there was much trying out of stuff not previously tasted...

Here is the birthday girl with her number one son...

A shared taxi home followed by “The Loop” then bed...

Tasty...

Highlight of the Day : An evening out...
